Shane Tinker Enterprises Has Extensive Tropical Plants in Inventory for Every Season

Are you looking for tropical fall plants for your Sorrento, FL home or garden? Are you a landscaper, developer or property manager looking for a wholesale tropical plants nursery to help with your upcoming projects? At Shane Tinker Enterprises, a wholesale nursery, we have an extensive collection of tropical plants that thrive in the cooler months of the year.

If you’re thinking about plants that thrive in the fall weather, you have many great options. Here are a few to consider:

  • Alocasia. Commonly known as elephant’s ears, these large perennial evergreens are known for their large, veined heart- or arrow-shaped leaves. The leaves also may have black, bronze or purple marks. They are a striking presence and some species can grow as tall as 15 feet.
  • Bromeliads. This family of tropical plant includes pineapples and other spiky varieties. For tropical gardens and planters, there are many brightly colored options with spiky leaves ranging from brown to red to orange. Most have a maximum height of 2-3 feet and thrive in the Sorrento, FL climate.
  • Calathea. These plants feature dark green leaves with scalloped edges and silver marks on the top of the leaves. The underside of the leaves is a lovely burgundy purple shade. They grow to about 3 feet in height.
  • Cordyline. These large perennials resemble palm trees and include 15 species of shrubs. The tree-like, evergreen plants have leathery, long leaves that are cup shaped and smell sweet. Many produce round berries of blue, purple or red.
  • Croton. Known for its bold, tropical foliage and large leaves, the croton comes in a variety of leaf sizes, shapes, and colors, including greens, oranges, pinks, purples, reds, and yellows. Shrubs can grow up to 10 feet tall but come in dwarf and larger varieties, too. These hardy plants recover from frost or freeze conditions and can make a bold statement when planted in bunches.
  • Palms. There are many types of palm trees that evoke a tropical locale. Palms come in many species and sizes. With large, shade-producing leaves, palms can make a great focal point for your outdoor space.
